Richard has been recording, engineering, and producing award-winning audio for radio, TV commercials, short films, features, and documentaries since 1987.  He owns what is acknowledged to be one of the premier audio recording studios in San Antonio. To Richard, music and sound design are art forms; he approaches what he does as an artist; his work is equal in importance to the voice artist in front of the microphone.

Richard began his career mixing live sound for a regional group and working part time at a recording studio. He then joined a sound and lighting group, working as on-stage monitor mixer with touring artists throughout Texas. 

After thoroughly learning the ins and outs of live performance, Richard moved over to a video post-production company as the in-house audio engineer/sound designer. When the studio eventually closed its doors, Richard bet on himself and bought the audio production studio and New Age Recording was born.
From it’s beginnings in downtown San Antonio to its current home, the studio has grown in size and talent. Despite a couple of location changes (one forced from a fire that burned everything to the ground), New Age continued as the premier sound studio for San Antonio and South Texas. The studio moved to its current location in 1992 and Richard bought the building in 2006, beginning the renovations and re-branding that would ultimately lead to the The Living Room.
